The general rule is 3-4 months in advance! If you are having a destination wedding OR you aren’t sending save the dates this should be sooner.
Have your guests RSVP’s about 3-4 weeks before your wedding date. This gives you time to hunt people down (if you choose to) also give yourself time to compile and double check meal counts if needed.
